Services for Drywall Repair

Damage to drywall is a pretty regular occurrence. If you’ve ever hung a painting with a nail or had a doorknob penetrate a wall, you know how delicate this surface can be. Even the smallest hole may be seen, even if it does not appear to be a major issue.

If these holes and broken pieces are not thoroughly filled up before painting, they will be much more noticeable. We will happily help you with these concerns. It’s just one of the many ways we’ll dazzle you!

Drywall damage is caused by more than just overly boisterous children or clumsy adults. Damage occurs frequently and in far more subtle ways than you may believe. Some of the most prevalent causes of drywall damage are as follows:

  • Small punch-through holes from nails,
  • Popping nails,
  • Furniture scuffs,
  • Loosened up joint tape,
  • Damage from tile removal,
  • Cracks from settling,
  • Damage from moisture or mold,
  • Everyday wear and tear,
  • Damage from kids,
  • Damage from rodents, and
  • Holes from drywall anchors.

Preparing Drywall for Painting

Before we begin painting, we will inspect the area for any existing damage. We’ll build a list of everything that needs to be fixed and then get to work! Small holes (made by nails, for example) may be fixed by simply filling them with mud/spackle and sanding them down once dry. Normally, this is a short operation.

Larger holes (made by doorknobs, for example) may need to be patched, which is a little more difficult task.

First, we’ll take meticulous measurements of the hole and cut a drywall repair to fit. Then we’ll mud/spackle the edges of the hole in the wall. The patch is then placed carefully, and additional mud is put on top. We will sand it down when it has cured to create a smooth, ready-to-paint surface.

Overall, it is usually a rapid remedy, and we will be able to start painting right away.

The Advantages of Drywall Finishing

If you have any size holes or dents in your drywall, they are absolutely worth repairing. A fresh coat of paint will not suffice to conceal the damage; in fact, it will often highlight it. When obtaining a new paint job, you want to ensure that the surface is smooth so that you can create the greatest look possible.
